The game, between a team of NCC vice-presidents and Little Gaddesden Veterans, was played in memory of James Jeavons and was a great success both in terms of it being a great game of cricket (which ended in a tie!) and the large sum of money raised.
The Hospice have thanked the club via the message shown in the image on this page, the text of which is:
Dear Ian and our friends at Northchurch Cricket Club,
On behalf of the Hospice of St Francis, we would like to thank you for your extremely generous donations in memory of James Jeavons. An amazing £2100 has been raised via the Just Giving page and £349.12 in donations brought into the Hospice. Kind gifts like yours enable the Hospice to continue its vital work in our local community – thank you so much. Sincerely,
Sarah Watson, Fundraising – In Memory
Thanks to everyone involved in arranging and playing in this very successful event.
